DEI workshop: ­e DE&I Workshop, hosted by HRiday on January 13, 2025, featured guest speaker Harish Iyer, who emphasized the importance of inclusivity in modern workplaces. ­rough interactive discussions and case studies, the session explored diversity, equity, and inclusion, focusing on authenticity, intersectionality, and proactive inclusion. Aendees engaged in a keynote address, group activities, and a Q&A session, learning about unconscious bias, equitable workplace policies, and inclusive leadership. ­e PAUSE framework was introduced to help recognize and mitigate bias. ­e workshop successfully provided practical strategies and tools for fostering inclusive, respectful, and equitable professional environments.
  68. HubSpot Workshop: ­e HubSpot Hands-On Training session, led by NMIMS Bangalore alumna Yashika Garg, provided marketing students with a comprehensive understanding of HubSpot CRM. She guided participants through key platform features, including Contacts, Conversations, Marketing, and Automation, while demonstrating campaign setup, customization options, and effective use of emails and notifications. She also recommended additional certifications to further enhance CRM and sales expertise. ­e HubSpot CRM Certification equips students with essential skills in inbound sales, sales software, and team management, offering hands-on experience and industry recognition that strengthens career prospects in digital marketing.

Stock Market Basics and Investment Technical workshop: On December 21, 2024, MBA-15 opt-in students aended an interactive workshop, Let’s Talk Finance: Stock Market Basics and Investment Technicals, led by Nikunj Maheshwari, Mudra's Investment and Technicals Sector Head. ­e session provided foundational knowledge on stock markets, investment strategies, and technical analysis through practical demonstrations and real-world examples. Participants gained valuable insights, enhancing their ability to analyze nancial markets and make informed investment decisions e‑ectively.

Led by senior member Anant Jain and supported by Intuito seniors, the session covered SQL basics, core commands like SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, and HAVING, along with real-world applications. Participants engaged in hands-on exercises, working with datasets to reinforce learning. ­e interactive session concluded with a Q&A, ensuring students gained practical experience and confidence in SQL. Enthusiastic participation highlighted the workshop’s success in enhancing analytical capabilities.

EXCEL WORKSHOP SERIES: ­e Intuito Club at NMIMS Bangalore conducted the rst session of its Excel Workshop Series on June 25, 2024, for 150 MBA-15 students, with guidance from 15 senior MBA-14 members. ­is workshop aimed to provide a foundational understanding of MS Excel, covering essential functions like XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Slicers, and the Data Analysis Toolpak. Led by senior club members, the hands-on session emphasized practical applications to enhance analytical skills. ­e event fostered collaboration between junior and senior batches, creating a learning community. With enthusiastic participation, the club looks forward to organizing more such skill-building sessions

Bloomberg Workshop: ­e Bloomberg training session, conducted by Isha Madan for the Mudra Junior Team, provided hands-on experience with the Bloomberg Terminal, covering its interface, navigation, and key financial tools. Participants learned to access real-time market data, analyze stocks and bonds, track macroeconomic indicators, and customize dashboards for research. ­e session highlighted essential commands, market analytics, and Bloomberg’s research capabilities, enhancing participants' financial decision-making skills. ­rough live demonstrations and interactive Q&A, attendees gained practical exposure, preparing them for careers in investment research, financial analysis, and portfolio management.

  • Cash Prize of Rs. 1 Lakh brought by Ankit Patlolla, Anushka Baliarsingh, and Tarun Dogne, 4th-year BA LLB students, for clinching the 1st Position at the 3rd AUAP-JLU International Moot Court Competition.Facing a distinguished 4-judge Bench, including luminaries like Justice Nahakul Subedi and Justice Sanjay Dwivedi, SOL students excelled in arguing on Arbitration Law.
  • Guest Lecture by Deputy Secretary,Karnataka State Legal Services Authority Sri Raghavendra Shettigar on Access to Justice Through Legal Services – A Journey from Enlightenment to Empowerment. His insightful discourse delved into the transformative role of legal services, addressing queries on pro bono cases, language barriers, and criteria for free legal aid.
  • Recap of the SEED Business School Conclave 2024: An Unforgettable Gathering of Minds! On January 30th, NMIMS Bangalore played host to a distinguished delegation from renowned institutions like Imperial College Business School, University of San Francisco School of Management, American University - Kogod School of Business, Santa Clara University - Leavey College of Business, and more.
  • NMIMS Bengaluru takes the lead in ESG education with our recent Academic Conclave, held in collaboration with AICPA & CIMA. The event showcased emerging global trends in ESG and Sustainability, featuring insights from industry luminaries. President of AICPA, Andrew Harding, along with NMIMS- Bengaluru Campus Director, Dr. Narayani Ramachandran, stressed the critical need for ESG implementation and the significance of green-collar careers.
  • Student of B.Com Ms. V Tejasvini from batch 2020-23 secured 1st Rank in end term exam with CGPA of 3.95.

  • Inter-Debate Competition – Debate competitions are a regular part of Law School to encourage students to develop public speaking skills & critical thinking; students were given a topic of current national relevance and had to debate in teams of 2.
  • National Moot Court Competition - Students were given a moot problem, for which they had to draft memorials and argue the matter in front of appointed jury.
  • Law School Unscripted - Guest Lectures by noted and accomplished persons of eminence : Lectures for professional grooming of students, to name a few speakers – Mihir Chunekar (Senior Director, JAPAC, Salesforce), Nidhiya (Legal head, Tata Elixi), Suma Gopal (Director, Enphase)

Academic Year 2022-2023

  • The Public Relations Cell of SBM, Bengaluru organized 10th edition of TEDxNMIMSBangalore on 5th March 2023 to explore new aspirations, learnings, and ideas. This edition was centered around the theme of 'Unfold the Manifold’, which dealt with unravelling the stratified levels in the library of life's experiences while exploring everything, layer by layer. The talented speakers were from various domains who shared their ideologies and perspectives based on their rich experience and expertise.
  • Tarunya – The Cultural Committee of School of Law, NMIMS, Bengaluru organised :
    • Rubaroo (Talent Hunt) on 3rd September, 2022 to warmly welcome the 2022–2027 batch, providing participants with a platform to exhibit their skills while also providing an opportunity to mingle with students from previous cohorts. The event was done in collaboration with the sports committee of the School of law i.e. Zenith. The event featured both athletic activities and cultural demonstrations for attendees to enjoy.
    • ONAM on 8th September 2022 a festival to continue the tradition by decking up in ethnic wear. This not only helped the students embrace the different cultural aspects of the festival but also made them bond over the mutual festivity that Onam carries. A beautiful rangoli art was made from flowers since this has been practiced by families celebrating Onam and is considered a sign of respect.
    • Halloween on 15th October 2022 to mark the spookiest time of the year. A costume party was organized and everyone in the law school showed up dressed as their favourite terrifying fictional characters. The creativity level of law school was on full display. The celebration included a musical night/ensemble in which a reputable artist was invited, along with a number of fillers that kept the audience entertained and made them leave with a memorable time on campus.
    • Lohri was celebrated on 13th January 2023, both boys and girls were dressed in stunning traditional attire, with the lads sporting a Punjabi Munda style while the girls were adorned with beautiful traditional jewellery. The dhols were the highlight of the event, causing the entire university to dance their hearts out. There were also dance performances, which everyone enjoyed. The energy level was extremely high, and the event concluded on a positive note.
  • Zenith, the Sports Committee of School of Law, Bengaluru plays a pivotal role in promoting a sporting culture within Law School by organizing various events related to sports and gaming.
    • VIRODH 2022 was organised from 10-12th of October 2022 which was sponsored by Platform 65 Restaurant. The event was the official intra batch sports tournament organized by the Committee. The sports organized in the event included Football, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket and Volleyball for both men and women in a double elimination format. The 1st Year (First Year) of School of Law were the winners of the maiden edition of Virodh.
  • On November 6, 2022, Navodaya, the Social Responsibility Committee of NMIMS Bengaluru, worked with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Hulimavu Kere Tharanga (a Social Activists Group) to conduct a clean-up drive at the Hulimavu Lake. The students collected 600kg of dry waste, mostly made up of plastic, cans, and religious idols together with heaps of weeds.
  • Nukkad Natak 2023 (02.02.2023) - The Legal Aids Society in association with the Film & Theatre Society conducted a street play on the topic "Cyber Crime Awareness” with 20 members and showcased the importance of knowledge about cybercrime. This was the Law School’s first In-House Production and is a part of the awareness project. The Street play was a grand success and people from the Law School and other Schools enjoyed it to their hearts' content.
  • Awareness Activity for the Rights of Trans genders & Red-Light area workers (20.02.2023) - The Legal Aid Society is currently preparing for a workshop for the Transgender Community and Red Light area workers in the Bangalore vicinity. We have tied up with a few Non-Governmental Organizations for this endeavor. The Legal Aids Society went to various NGOs throughout Bangalore to enquire them about problems which are faced by such communities.
  • Golf is earmarked as our chosen sport at NMIMS Bengaluru Campus. On the eve of the anniversary of the campus, on 14th November 2022, a golf camp was organized by Mr. Sangram Wadkar, Assistant Director- Placements inviting the professional Head Coach & Proprietor of "To The Tee” Golf Academy. Lakshya – The Sports Committee of NMIMS Bengaluru participated enthusiastically in the game.
