At Lakshya, sports aren’t just events on a calendar, they’re experiences that bring people together, push limits, and create stories you’ll remember long after college. Over the years, Lakshya has grown into something more than just organizing matches. It’s about the buzz before a game, the pressure of a last-minute decision, the laughter after a long day, and the friendships that form along the way. Whether it’s starting your campus life with the calm of Yoga Day, celebrating the spirit of sport through Olympic Day games, or diving into the chaos and energy of Funathon, there’s always something happening that keeps the campus alive.
And then there are the moments everyone waits for the big leagues. FootBrawl brings out the intensity of football rivalries and the Box Cricket League mixes seniors and juniors into teams that compete hard and bond even harder. These aren’t just competitions; they’re where identities are built and legacies begin.
The heartbeat of Lakshya is the NMIMS Sports League - NSL. It all starts with an auction that feels straight out of the IPL, where strategies are formed, players are picked, and teams come to life. From there, the campus transforms into a full-blown sporting arena. Cricket matches under pressure, Basketball games that go down to the wire, Badminton and Table Tennis battles that test precision, and Volleyball rallies that keep everyone on edge.
Junior Managers (JMs) and Senior Managers (SMs) play a crucial role in the NMIMS Sports League (NSL), offering students a unique opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting. As JMs, students gain hands-on experience in execution, coordination, and stakeholder management, learning how to handle operations on the ground. As SMs, they step into leadership roles, driving team strategy, managing people, making decisions under pressure, and ensuring seamless execution.
This structure allows management students to develop core skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making in dynamic, high-pressure environments. NSL, through these roles, becomes more than just a sports league, it acts as a live simulation of organizational management, preparing students for real world corporate challenges.
And it doesn’t stop at traditional sports. With FIFA, BGMI, and Valorant, E Sports has carved its own space, bringing in a whole new level of competition and excitement. Add to that sports like Pickleball, Throwball, and even Poker, and you get a league that truly has something for everyone.
What makes Lakshya different isn’t just the variety of events, it’s the chance to be part of something bigger. Here, you can lead a team, plan strategies, organize events, or simply show up and give your best on the field. It’s about learning how to handle pressure, how to work with people, and how to keep going when things don’t go your way.
