A workshop on ‘Education of Entrepreneurship’ was conducted at SVKM NMIMS, Bengaluru on Saturday, 27th August 2022 in partnership with the NGO ‘Taleem O Tarbiyat’. The workshop aimed to enable the students to convert their business ideas into successful start-ups.

Dr. Rajendra Nargundkar, Director of NMIMS Bengaluru campus, delivered the welcome address and felicitated the Chief Guest Mr. Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, Quality Council of India; Chairman Network 18 Group. Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Adil Zainulbhai urged the students to think differently, believe in themselves, and take the unexplored path to success.

The workshop covered varied topics on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, capital markets, and depository services. Mr. Harshit Desai, Design thinker and Entrepreneur, and Ms. Kalpana Balasubramanian, CEO, and Chief thinker of Grant Thornton, spoke about business idea generation and converting it into a viable business model. Mr. C.S. Harisha, Regional Manager, CSDL(Karnataka) spoke about Financial Literacy, Capital Markets, and Depository Services. Mrs. Rutika Rathore of Upstox spoke about business opportunities for students with Upstox.

The event overall was very successful and beneficial for the students of the School of Commerce and Economics. Prof. Bhaskaran, Chairperson of the BCom Program of NMIMS Bangalore campus mentored the students & coordinated the event.
