Dr. Prabhavathi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at NMIMS Bengaluru. She holds two master's degree, M.Phil (Commerce), and a Ph.D in Management. She is a seasoned academician with over 15 years of teaching experience in the fields of finance and accounting.

Her academic career includes extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and academic administration. Prior to joining NMIMS Bengaluru, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Professional Studies at Christ (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, where she took on several leadership roles, including serving as the Board of Studies (BOS) Coordinator and contributing to academic audits, assessment structuring, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Dr. Prabhavathi has published four research papers in Scopus-indexed journals on subjects such as NPA management, interest rate risk, and the influence of social media on investment decision-making. Her primary research interests lie in Risk Management, Interest Rate Risk by Banks, and Banks’ Asset–Liability Management. She continues to engage actively in scholarly work through research publications, conference participation, and academic outreach focused on contemporary issues in the banking and financial sector.
