Prof. Kiran Badoni is a research-focused academician specialising in Gender and Development Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Transdisciplinary Research. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Economics at the Central University of Karnataka in collaboration with the Institute of Public Enterprise as an ICSSR Doctoral Fellow. Her research focuses on transgender empowerment, inclusive governance, and development policy in India.

Prof. Kiran has contributed extensively to interdisciplinary research through publications, conference presentations, and field-based studies on gender inclusion, financial empowerment, migration, tourism economics, and social entrepreneurship. Her work has appeared in reputed peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

She has presented research papers at several national and international conferences organised by institutions including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur, and Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She is proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies using tools such as SPSS, Stata, and NVivo, and actively engages in policy-oriented academic research and social development initiatives.
